The Client's Challenge
Celebrating 20 years as a modern classic, Morgans Hotel Group teamed up with Virgin America to create a microsite that showcased the rich history of each of their hotel properties, while also encouraging users to submit their own Morgans Moments for a chance to win a trip for 2 to the ultimate Hollywood experience.
We designed an immersive, multimedia storytelling experience for each hotel. As the user scrolled through each hotel's Ethos page, the story was supported with bold imagery, engaging background videos, embedded Youtube videos and creative typography treatments to enhance the entire experience. We also built a Morgans Moments page where users could take a selfie on their computer/device or upload a photo directly to the site, along with a story of their favorite Morgans Hotel Group experience. The MHG staff had full control to approve or deny all submissions and we dynamically optimized and losslessly compressed each image uploaded. The microsite also included featured events around the campaign as well as special package offers for room bookings at each hotel.
